Your Problem

You are interested in learning more about research design, research methods and how they work together in a market research study.  You also need to select the proper research methods to collect data for your study.

Our Solution

We designed the Research Methods Comparison Template to provide with an analysis of the different types of research design and research methods.  Our all-in-one Microsoft Excel database and selection tool allows you to discover the details of market research design & methods as well as identify which methods will be the best fit for your market research efforts.

The 'Research Methods Map' and 'Research Methods Database' will help you gain a fuller understanding of how the 3 types of research design interact with one another in the market research process and where each research method fits into that process.  These tabs will also provide you with detailed descriptions of the different research methods.

The 'Methods Scoring' tab considers the research method descriptions you reviewed in the previous tabs and asks you to assess how each research method fits into the following areas: Alignment with Study Objectives, Influences of Considerations on Study and Budget Fits with Cost Analysis.  After completing this self-assessment, you will receive 'Overall Method Fit Scores' for each method that will identify which research methods you should consider for your market research study.
