An early bit of data from this survey: 71.4% of respondents indicate that their lead generation process generates "less" or "far less" leads than are needed. Why is this so and what does it mean? We'll share our thoughts on this and other issues the survey touches on when we complete data collection and analysis - stay tuned!

We're getting a fantastic response to this survey. Here's some more data. The last question on the survey asks respondents to indicate the biggest barriers to achieving their revenue goals. Here are the top 5 responses so far:
1. Budget or other resources
2. Economic issues
3. Staffing
4. Sales and Marketing alignment
5. Product/service issues

Here's another insight from the Sales & Marketing Alignment survey. We asked respondents to share how their sales and marketing teams are structured. Here's what they said:

* 31% report no distinction between sales and marketing: they are one and the same.

* 34% report that sales and marketing are separate teams that report to the same manager or executive

* 35% report that sales and marketing are separate teams that report to different managers or executives.
